Highlights from the science park's 25 years

25 years with Science Park Skövde. 25 years of innovation. Over the course of these 25 years, a multitude of companies have been born or relocated to the park. Buildings have been demolished to make room for new, more spacious ones. Meetings, events, activities, and development have flowed continuously. We have delved into the park's history to provide a glimpse into the everyday opportunities within the park, as well as a retrospective on events that have unfolded over the years. Join us!

Did you know that ...

... the first game company to start its business in the startup program was Lockpick Entertainment?
The year was 2004. Their game Dreamlords was a grand production, but they failed to reach the market. Unfortunately, the company is no longer around, but it definitely paved the way for other game companies that began their journey in the startup program, including Coffee Stain Studios, Stunlock Studios, and Iron Gate.

... Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited Science Park Skövde?
The year was 2010, and the date was October 23rd. The visit to the science park was the finale of a three-day tour in the duchy of Västergötland. The Crown Princess couple got to try out video games from Stunlock Studios, Immersive Learning, and Pieces Interactive. Additionally, they learned more about Forsway and satellite modems.

... Science Park Skövde has grown over 25 years to currently encompass no less than eight properties?
The science park is represented both in an area directly connected to the University of Skövde and in an area on the other side of Boulogner, in the Volvo area. Over the years, both villas and modular solutions have been used to accommodate the science park's growth in terms of companies and their employees.
