Around 20 investors gathered at Billingehus in Skövde when Science Park Skövde hosted the networking event From gut feeling to method – investing with precision. The morning was filled with knowledge exchange and reflections among investors from the region.

On Friday, October 3, Science Park Skövde organised an exclusive gathering for its investor network, focusing on strengthening investor engagement and creating the conditions for more successful investments in the region’s growth companies. About 20 participants attended the event – including business angels, family office representatives, and venture capital firms – for a morning of new perspectives and inspiring conversations.

“Investor engagement is key”

During the event, participants were introduced to the Investment Readiness Process (IRP) – a structured tool that helps investors make well-informed decisions. The programme also featured reflections from experienced business angel Monica Hedberg, as well as pitches from two companies in Science Park Skövde’s startup program: Elva Entertainment and SafeSite.

“In just a few hours, we gained new insights, listened to inspiring pitches, and had time for networking. A very well-organised event,” says participant Inger Frykberg.

In addition to inspiration and new knowledge, the meetup also provided valuable opportunities for investors to connect with each other.

“Having strong local investor engagement is key for entrepreneurs to take their visions forward and succeed. Science Park Skövde has really done a great job in making that happen,” says Hans Sollerman, another participant.

Strengthening the regional investment ecosystem

“By bringing together both new and established investors, we aim to foster a long-term and sustainable investment ecosystem in Skaraborg. The goal is for more promising companies to be able to grow locally – with the right support, knowledge, and capital,” concludes Anna Emanuelsson, Business Developer focusing on financing and investments at Science Park Skövde.
