New company in our startup program: Celious AB

Hello Celious! Who are you running the company? Tell us a little about yourselves.
It’s me, Emil Kylander, and my father Hans Kylander running Celious. We both live in Falköping. The company was founded last year, but we have had the idea for our product Lendence for two years now, when we started developing it. We wanted to start a company to streamline how HVAC companies manage their inventories since significant problems usually arise there, such as how they handle service/calibration and keeping track of who does what and where the items are.

How did you come up with the business idea?
It was Hans Kylander, who has many years of experience in the HVAC industry. He noticed that there was room for improvement and then I began to develop a digital solution for this. Since then, we have worked with the industry to create the business idea and product that we have today.

What drives you the most?
Our biggest driving force is to create improvement through digital tools. We live in an increasingly hectic world where technology is created to help us, not hinder us. We want to build digital tools that are easy to understand and use to solve problems in society. The goal is to create good and efficient tools that solve the right problems.

What made you apply for the startup program?
I have been in contact with Conny Johansson at the NyföretagarCentrum in Falköping for a long time, and he recommended applying to Science Park Skövde's startup program.

What are your expectations for the program?
Our expectations are to receive coaching and avoid the pitfalls that often characterize startup companies. We believe that the right team with the right help can achieve amazing things!

In five years, what do you hope to have achieved with the company?
I would like to turn the question around to what we hope to achieve in society in five years, and with our product Lendence, we wish to have reduced the stress that HVAC companies experience today.

We do have other products. Among other things, we previously launched a Swedish search engine called Celious, which is an initiative to create a safer digital environment in Sweden. We have also semi-launched a European social network called Romora, which aims to tackle the problems that social networks have introduced into today's society.

Our business coach about Celious

It was to Science Park Skövde's local branch in Falköping that Emil approached to first discuss his idea.

"Emil already had a nearly finished product when he came to us. He had just upgraded a software he had started as a teenager to a professional level almost ready to launch in the market — a digital resource management system primarily for the HVAC industry, but it’s flexible and can therefore benefit a range of different industries", says Conny Johansson, business coach at the Falköping branch, and continues:

"Emil has received external feedback and ideas at the branch and in Science Park Skövde from us business coaches to strengthen his business and refine his presentation. Our support systems help check off a series of "must-dos" along the way. Emil is highly driven and solution-oriented. He has also proven successful in reaching out to the press to have his product covered in the media. It will be really exciting to follow his entrepreneurial journey!"
