Since the turn of the year, Science Park Skövde AB and Drivhuset Skaraborg have initiated a closer collaboration. Through this initiative, they aim to leverage each other's strengths to contribute to the start-up of more sustainable businesses in the region.

"It feels like a natural step in our repositioning towards innovation and sustainable entrepreneurship. It is time for us to collaborate more," says Kajsa Q Phalén, Business Manager at Drivhuset Skaraborg.

The new collaboration aims to utilize each other's expertise to promote the growth of more sustainable businesses in the region. A collaboration that is important and value-creating for both parties.

"We are convinced that by creating a natural balance between Science Park Skövde's strength in business development and new technological innovation, with Drivhuset's strengths in research-based entrepreneurial methods for sustainable entrepreneurship, we can contribute to more individuals who dare and have the right skills to start or develop businesses in the region," says Kajsa Q Phalén, Business Manager at Drivhuset Skaraborg.

Making a difference

Drivhuset, with its ability to make the complex simple and to balance theory with practice, will play an important role by guiding prospective entrepreneurs through preparatory steps before they enter Science Park Skövde's startup program.

"By involving Drivhuset more in our processes, they can naturally help people with innovative ideas to validate and test against the market. This means that they are well prepared before they develop their business in our startup program," says Ingi Jonasson, CEO of Science Park Skövde AB and continues:

"The fact that we can collaborate within the same value chain, strengthen each other's offerings, learn from each other and develop together makes us both more efficient and more successful. Most importantly, together we will make a difference for even more young entrepreneurs who are building our society stronger."

Kajsa agrees.

"I hope to see more academic students and researchers developing their ideas further in the startup program through Drivhuset's preparatory efforts. I also hope to see an effect on increased social responsibility among the business ideas that are built within the region."
